About the company
Our company has one of the most opulent tradition in the power construction industry in Poland.
 
We derive from the State Electric Construction (Państwowe Budownictwo Elektryczne) which was founded in 1946 in Krakow. It was the genuine time for the total reconstruction and development of the national electric energy infrastructure .
For the most of our history, we were identified as the Power Construction Enterprise (Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Elektroenergetycznego) "Elbud" in Krakow.
The end of the nineties brought many changes which eventually converted us into ABB Elbud S.A.
 
During our long-lasting performace, we have built and modernized several hundreds of substations and almost five thousand kilometres of high and medium voltage power lines.
We have been taking part in the implementation of the newest systems and technologies which change the shape of Polish power industry, including: the 400 kV line Krosno-Lemieszany, the first line in Poland with the bunch of three wires in the system of an equilateral triangle; a cable of 110 kV under the Vistula riverbed in Krakow; the several switchgears in the gas insulation, including the first one in Poland GIS switchgear of 220 kV in Gdańsk I substation.
 
Our experience supported by the equipment create the perfect tool to undertake any power grid construction challenge. Modern work methods and management tools like the integrated SAP R/3 system and the quality and environment management systems guarantee the highest standards of our work.
We specialize in the construction, including the turnkey projects, of high and the highest voltage substations, overhead and cable lines as well as the modernization, renovation and repair.
 
Our key customer is represented by PSE S.A. ( Polish Power Grid Company). We are also the contractor for numerous power utilities, industrial enterprises, other investors and the main contractors related to the power infrastructure.
 
We have defined our mission as „Providing high quality services in the scope of system solutions of high and medium voltage in power industry, which is to assure full satisfaction to our Customers and to comply with needs of the society, employees and shareholders."
